3309 civilians have died in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war with Russia – the United Nations

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has recorded 3,309 deaths and 3,493 injuries to civilians in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.

According to Ukrinform, this is stated in the daily OHCHR report of May 6.

It is noted that among the dead were – 1,194 men, 761 women, 73 girls, and 88 boys, as well as 73 children and 1,120 adults, whose gender is still unknown. In addition, 452 men, 352 women, 75 girls, 86 boys, as well as 169 children, and 2,359 adults of unknown gender were injured.

Most deaths and injuries are due to the use of armaments and explosives with a large area of damage, including heavy artillery shelling and multiple rocket launchers, as well as missile and airstrikes.

OHCHR believes that the actual figures are much higher, as information from some places of intense fighting is delayed and many reports are still awaiting confirmation.
