In the Kharkiv region, on May 4, Russian troops fired on a civilian convoy near Staryy Saltiv, that was trying to break into the regional center, and a 13-year-old girl disappeared.
Adviser to the head of the Kharkiv regional council, volunteer Natalia Popova, announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
According to her, a convoy of cars was moving from occupied Vovchansk, it was fired upon between Verkhnyy Saltiv and Staryy Saltiv. According to Popova, who refers to the girl’s relatives, the missing 13-year-old Sofia was in the car with her mother and six-month-old sister. The seriously injured woman and her baby are currently in Vovchansk Hospital.
According to the Suspilne, there were more than 30 cars in the convoy coming from the temporarily occupied Vovchansk and other settlements near it. People were ambushed.
The media, citing relatives of the family, reported about at least two killed and, according to medical sources in the region, 12 injured. Officially, neither the regional authorities nor law enforcement agencies have reported anything about the shelling.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not announce the release or control of Staryy Saltiv or other settlements near this village.
