The operator of the Russian gas pipeline «Nord Stream-2» has declared itself bankrupt due to the Western sanctions.
This was stated in an interview with the Swiss SRF by the Minister of Economy of the Canton of Zug Sylvia Talmann-Gut.
Comment: «Employees have been notified of their dismissal. We are now informing them of their rights and responsibilities. I do not rule out that other companies will also suffer, » she said.
We are recalling that on February 23, the United States announced sanctions against Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of the «Nord Stream-2» gas pipeline, and its management in response to Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
In addition, due to Russia’s recognition of the DNR and LNR groups, on February 22 German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that he had suspended the certification of the «Nord Stream-2» gas pipeline.
