The Ukrainian and Russian delegations concluded the second round of talks.
According to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podoliak, the Ukrainian side did not get the results it had hoped for. In his Twitter, he voiced key items on the agenda: an immediate ceasefire, a ceasefire and humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians from destroyed or constantly shelled villages and towns. According to Podoliak the last item was discussed in detail.
The official environment agreed by the sides said that they “reached an understanding on the joint provision of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians, for the delivery of food and medicine to places of fiercest fighting with the possibility of a temporary ceasefire for evacuation in sectors where it continues.”
The adviser to the head of the President`s Office clarified that so far the ceasefire is possible only during the evacuation in places where there will be humanitarian corridors. In the near future, special channels of communication and interaction will be organized for this purpose.
The third round of talks will take place soon.
We will remind that the first negotiations, on February 28, came to the end and during them “a number of priority subjects were defined and certain decisions were outlined.”
