The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that there are all indications that the military-political leadership of Belarus is ready for a possible large-scale participation in the war against Ukraine on the side of Russia.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a partial regrouping of the land forces and the Special Operations Forces of Belarus has been carried out.
In particular, in the area of Brest there are one Battalion Tactical Group from 38 separate assault brigade (Brest) and one from 103 separate airborne brigade (Vitebsk) of Belarussian Armed Forces. In the area of Oleksandrivka (the area of the border checkpoint in the area of Vilcha village, Kyiv region) – 2 Battalion tactical groups of 38 separate assault brigade; in the Kirovo district (Polissya Radiation Reserve) – 2 Battalion Tactical Groups of the 103 separate airborne brigade.
Commentary: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
«The above-mentioned units have been transferred to a higher level of combat readiness, but the moral and psychological condition of the personnel is extremely low. Most servicemen are informed of future actions and do not wish to fight on the side of the Russian Armed Forces», — the statement says.
Earlier, the General Staff stated that the Russian occupiers could prepare a provocation to involve Belarusian forces in the war against Ukraine. However, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has stated that Belarusians do not take part in the war against Ukraine.
