In Antalya negotiations between Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Russia have concluded

In Antalya (Turkey) negotiations have concluded between Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Russia, Dmytro Kuleba and Sergey Lavrov, concerning termination of the war. They lasted for 1,5 hours.

The main goals of the Ukrainian side were to reach an agreement on a humanitarian corridor to and from Mariupol, as well as conclude a 24-hour truce.

Commentary: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba

“First of all – I hope that Lavrov will communicate with those who make decisions in Russia. Unfortunately, he couldn’t decide on this by himself. But he will talk to his superiors. As per the issue of a 24-hour truce, we couldn’t reach an agreement either. I heard today from the Russian side that they link the ceasefire to fulfilling Putin’s demands to Ukraine. Ukraine does not and will not surrender. We are ready for diplomatic solutions but as long as there are none, we will selflessly defend our land from Russian aggression”.
