On Friday, March 18, US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping will discuss Russia’s aggression against Ukraine during a telephone conversation.
Comment: White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki
“The leaders of the two countries (the United States and China – ed.) will discuss issues of competition management between our two countries, as well as Russia’s war against Ukraine and other issues of mutual interest.”
She said Joe Biden’s telephone conversation with Xi Jinping was part of an ongoing effort to maintain open lines of communication between the United States and China.
It is noted that the last conversation between the leaders of the two countries took place in November during a virtual summit that lasted three and a half hours.
