“The number of civilian casualties is growing daily, currently (as of March 21) is more than 3,000,” Prokopenko said.
He added that it was impossible to name the exact number of people killed because the occupiers did not allow people to bury people. A significant number are being buried in mass graves without naming.
According to Prokopenko, Ukrainian defenders are helping civilians with water and food, but it’s not enough. In addition, there are no safe places for people in Mariupol, as enemy missiles hit houses, “killing people in their beds.”
