Russian occupants fired at the territory of the Sumykhimprom plant, which led to a leak of ammonia. The affected area is up to 2,5 kilometers. Emergency crews of the plant and the SES are working.
The head of the Sumy regional military administration Dmitry Zhyvytsky reported about it.
According to him, the accident happened on March 21 at 4:30, and the affected area has a radius of about 2,5 kilometers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has condemned the shelling of the Sumykhimprom plant by the Russian occupants.
As was reported in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, on March 20, Russia spread baseless accusations against Ukraine through the UN Security Council in the alleged preparation of terrorist attacks on foreign diplomatic missions in Lviv, and also plans to use chemical weapons in Sumy and Kotliarevo, Mykolaiv region.

«The Russian Federatian is yet again using international organizations to spread absurd accusations against Ukraine, among which was disinformation about the development of a “dirty” bomb or biological weapons program. In gross violation of the laws and customs of war, Russia is spreading false narratives to create informational cover-ups for further crimes of the Russian Federarion on Ukraine’s territory».
The emergency situation was localized, and at about 8:00 eliminated.
