The head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, published in his telegram channel that eight fires had been registered in the region over the past 24 hours, one of them due to shelling of settlements by the Russian army.
He added that electricity, heat and water supply are missing in Chernihiv due to the destruction of critical infrastructure and active hostilities. However, according to him, gas supply is partially carried out, restoration work is carried out as far as possible.
Chaus noted that a total of 386 fires have been extinguished since the start of the war, of which 257 were caused by shelling. 44 people were rescued, including 10 children.
He also said that a group of SES pyrotechnics had gone out six times a day to dispose of unexploded ordnance, and a total of 115 explosive devices had been found and seized since the war began.
