Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, 143 children have died

During full-scale hostilities in Ukraine – 143 children were killed and 216 wounded. The Attorney General’s Office announced it on the morning of March 28.

Children affected the most were in Kyiv – 67, Kharkiv – 49, Donetsk – 53, Chernihiv – 38, Mykolaiv – 30, Luhansk – 27, Zaporizhia – 21, Kherson – 24, the capital – 16, Zhytomyr – 15 and Sumy – 14 regions.

According to the Joint State Political Directorate, on March 27, 2022, a soldier of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation fired on villages in the Izium district of the Kharkiv region. The shelling killed three children and injured one. On the same day, two children were wounded in the shelling by the occupiers of the Luhansk region.

On March 27,  due to the shelling of a village in the Fastiv district, the Kyiv region – one child was injured.

A 15-year-old boy died in hospital in the Kherson region from injuries received from artillery shelling.

On March 27, in the Sumy region, a military vehicle of the Russian Federation hit a family on the road – a 15-year-old boy was injured, his father died in hospital.

According to the Joint State Political Directorate – 733 educational institutions were damaged by bombing and shelling, 74 of them destroyed. The worst situation is in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions, and the city of Kyiv.

This data isn’t final because it isn’t possible to inspect the places of shelling in areas of active hostilities and the temporarily occupied territories.
