The occupiers have already forcibly relocated 500,000 Ukrainians to russia, including 121,000 children. They also keep tens of thousands of Ukrainians in filtration camps. This was announced by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsia during a meeting of the UN Security Council on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, Ukrinform quotes.
According to him, Ukrainians deported to russia are sent to depressed regions, including the northern territories and the island of Sakhalin, and then banned from leaving for two years.
Kyslytsia stressed that this is an abduction of people, to which the international community, especially the relevant UN structures, must respond.
Comment: Serhiy Kyslytsia, Ukraine’s representative to the UN:
“Every time it seems that we are used to the shameful methods of the russian war. But every latest news from Mariupol and dozens of other hotspots proves that the russians are capable of reaching new heights.”
He says the russians are also holding Ukrainians in filtration camps in the occupied territories. So, at least 20 thousand people are kept in camps near the settlements of Mangush, Nikolskoe and Yalta of Donetsk region, and another 5-7 thousand – in Bezymenne of Donetsk region.
