The Russian occupiers have already exported several hundred thousand tons of grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Approximately one and a half million tons of grain were concentrated in these areas for sowing, domestic consumption and processing (flour production, baking bread).
Comment: First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky
“It’s a significant margin. At international prices, it costs hundreds of millions of dollars. And there is a great risk that everything will simply be stolen and taken away in favor of Russia. “
He noted that the facts have already been confirmed that several hundred thousand tons of grain were exported in total from Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
Farmers in the Melitopol district of the Zaporizhzhia region said that Russian troops began buying grain at twice the price. For those who refuse such cooperation, the grain is taken by force under the barrels of machine guns.
The Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solsky also confirmed that he receives a lot of information from farmers in the temporarily occupied territory about the mass theft of grain by the occupiers.
