Residents of the Zaporizhia region saw russian occupation forces shelling their own cars, trying to avoid participating in hostilities in the region. This was stated by the press service of the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration with reference to reports from local residents.
For example, in Polohy, the russian military shot up about 20 of their cars just to avoid going to the front line. The authorities were told that the vehicle was fired upon by representatives of the resistance movement in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region.
The Zaporizhia administration also said that on the eve of May 9, residents of the city of Tokmak, Polohovsky district, reminded the occupiers that those are on Ukrainian land temporarily. So, on the streets of the city began to appear leaflets with the inscription «Nazism has been defeated – we will win the Rashism».
