Alice from Azovstal, separated from her mother by the occupiers, will be taken to her relatives

A 4-year-old girl, Alice, who was separated from her mother by the occupiers during the evacuation from Azovstal, will be taken to relatives in safe regions of Ukraine. This was announced by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Lyudmila Denisova.

She noted that the child was already safe, she was temporarily sheltered by an employee of the Zaporizhzhia Military Administration.

In addition, they found Alice’s relatives, so in the near future, the girl will be sent to them for the upbringing.

Denisova emphasizes that, according to available information, the Russians sent the child’s mother to the filtration camp.

“The rashist occupiers are grossly violating the rights of Ukrainian children guaranteed by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of Russia’s violations of children’s rights in Ukraine.”
