The Ukrainian military of one of the territorial defense battalions pushed back the Russians and reached the state border with Russia in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Commentary: fighters of the territorial defense of Ukraine:
“I report today that on April 15 (probably referring to May 15 – ed.), The 227th Battalion of the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine has reached the border, on a separate strip with Russia, the occupying country. We have arrived, Mr. President, we are here.”
In the evening report for May 15, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops focused their efforts on maintaining their positions and preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops to the state border.
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vadym Denysenko then confirmed live on the TV marathon that Ukrainian troops had launched a counteroffensive in the northeastern part of Kharkiv region.
