On Friday, 1 July Russian occupying forces launched over 270 explosive shells, rockets, and ammunition of various calibres on the territory of Sumy Oblast.

Quote: “Over the course of today [1 July – ed.], the Russians fired over 270 explosive shells, rockets, and ammunition of various calibres on the territory of Sumy Oblast beginning at 9 in the morning.”
Details: Zhyvytskyi said that Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhyne, Esman, Velyka Pysarivka, Hlukhiv, and Krasnopillia hromadas [amalgamated territorial communities – ed.] came under Russian fire.
A 64-year-old woman was injured in Shalyhyne. She was working in her vegetable garden when shelling began. She was injured by a fragment of a Russian shell.
Sumy Oblast infrastructure – including residential houses, farms, power lines, and a water pump – also sustained damage.
The extent and nature of the damage are being established.
