Comment: Mariupol City Council
“Residents of occupied Mariupol are dying due to a lack of medicine. The city has a shortage of medicines for cancer patients, people with diabetes, tuberculosis and problems with the thyroid gland,” the report says.
The mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, emphasized that these people are in the risk zone and cannot wait for the occupiers to deliver medicines, so their lives are at risk.
He reminded that for more than 2 months the Russian invaders and their helpers – the self-proclaimed authorities of Mariupol – have been blocking the normal access of Mariupol residents to drinking water, a sufficient amount of food and medicine.
Comment: Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko
“Yesterday, a healthy athlete – 2 meters tall and 120 kg in weight – had two legs amputated. Why? After experiencing stress due to military actions, he had an insulin crisis. Due to the lack of necessary medicines and proper medical support in the city, he became a disabled person. And this is not an isolated case. Limbs are amputated instead of high-quality treatment with drugs. “Quick solutions” that maim and kill the people of Mariupol,” said Boychenko.
He called on the international community to assess the humanitarian disaster in the city and the genocide of its residents.
It also became known that there are no doctors left in Mariupol. Petro Andryushchenko, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, announced this on his Telegram channel.
The chairman stated that from today it is impossible to get medical help in Mariupol.
