Russian army destroyed, damaged or occupied 90% of wind farms in Ukraine. Energy Minister German Galushchenko said this during the international conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Lugano (Switzerland), Ukrinform reports.
In addition, 30% of solar plants, more than 30% of cogeneration plants, as well as the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant were destroyed or captured.
Galushchenko called on European partners to help Ukrainian cities, which have suffered significant destruction due to Russia’s actions, to restore the energy sector using “green” technologies. He emphasized that even now Ukraine’s energy mix is 70% carbon-free.
