The occupiers in the Kherson region deliberately do not allow fires to be extinguished after shelling.

The russians deliberately do not allow fires to be extinguished in the occupied Kherson region, destroy grain warehouses, agricultural machinery and solar power plants. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings regarding the purposeful destruction of crops by the Russian military. This is reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers point out that due to constant shelling it is extremely difficult to put out fires in the de-occupied territories, and the Russians deliberately do not allow it in the occupied lands. In order to save at least part of the harvest, people work on machinery next to the wall of fire.

During the past week, fires in forests and fields due to shelling were recorded almost every day on the territory of Kherson region.

For example, near the village of Rozlyv of the Bilozersk Territorial Community, 12 hectares of grain crops caught fire, as well as a pine forest caught fire in the Oleshkiv Territorial Community. But due to the presence of occupation troops there, no one could put out the fire.

As a result of the shelling of Heniche district, a fire broke out in a field with wheat – both the crop and agricultural machinery were burnt.

After shelling by the Russian troops in the Kakhovsky district, a pine forest on an area of more than 5 hectares caught fire.

The occupiers also shelled the Velyko Oleksandriv territorial community. Winter wheat and barley crops with a total area of about 150 hectares caught fire there.

Due to Russian artillery fire, a pine forest near the village of Kohany also caught fire, and a fire broke out on three hectares of pine forest on the territory of the Oleshkiv Forestry.
