The occupiers are trying to resume the export of grain to Zaporizhzhia. Ship “Zhybek Zholy” returns for loading

The russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia are trying to resume the export of Ukrainian grain. To do this, they seized the port elevators and are bringing in other ships for loading. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

To organize the export of Ukrainian grain, the occupiers created the so-called GUK – “State Unitary Company”. Its activities are directly controlled by collaborator Yevhen Balytskyi, a former People’s Deputy, deputy of the Zaporizhia Regional Council from the banned “Opposition Bloc”, and currently the “head of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporizhia region” appointed by the occupiers.

According to intelligence data, in order to create an effective infrastructure for the export of grain, the collaborators seized the port-side elevator of the enterprise “Nova Khortytsia” in Berdyansk, the loading complex of the enterprise “Asket Shipping” in the port of Berdyansk, the elevators of the enterprises “Kernel”, “Optimus” and other grain traders.

“GUK” has set purchase prices for agricultural products, which are categorically not satisfactory to producers. For example, fodder wheat – 6 thousand rubles per ton (2.8 thousand UAH), food wheat – 9 thousand rubles (4.3 thousand UAH), and barley – 7 thousand rubles (3.4 thousand UAH).

Because of such prices, agricultural producers try not to sell the crop, but to store it in warehouses. And in the absence of free storage, it is stored in other rooms not adapted for this or even in open areas.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the first vessel to be loaded was supposed to arrive on July 10. On July 17, the ship “Zhybek Zholy”, which was already transporting stolen grain from Berdyansk, is expected to arrive.

According to the GUR, in order to put pressure on the local population, Balytskyi said that local residents can be divided into those who support the Russian Federation and will stay in their homes, and others who have to leave the territory of the region.
