The rocket attack on Vinnytsia destroyed or damaged 55 residential buildings, the State Emergency Service reported on July 16.
According to the report, the work on dismantling the rubble has been completed.
“A total of 55 multi-apartment and private residential buildings, 40 cars and two trams were damaged and destroyed as a result of the shelling,” the message states.
Earlier, the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Borzov, said that one of the victims of the July 14 rocket attack died in the hospital. Therefore, the total number of victims increased to 24, 68 victims continue to be treated. Four more people are still wanted.
On July 14, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Vinnytsia. In addition to numerous victims and traumatized people, dozens of buildings were damaged in the city center, 40 cars were burned. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that after the rocket attack in the city, several dozen people were detained for examination.
After the attack on Vinnytsia, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Ukraine’s partners to recognize Russia as a “terrorist state” as soon as possible and to approve new sanctions against the Russian Federation.
