The occupiers abducted the man, beat him severely and tortured him. All because he is a former participant in hostilities.
Nazar Kagalnyak, a veteran of the anti-terrorist operation from the village of Abrykosivka, died in the Kherson region. He was tortured by Russian invaders.
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denisova announced this on her own page on the Telegram.
According to her, Nazar Kagalnyak is a veteran of the anti-terrorist operation. After demobilization he suffered two heart attacks, complicated heart surgery, had a pacemaker. The Russian occupiers kidnapped the man straight from home.
“He was brutally beaten and tortured for being a former combatant. Nazar, who was tortured by the occupiers, was brought home by the occupiers. His condition critically deteriorated, after which his husband was taken to Oleshki hospital, where he later died,” the statement said.
Nazar’s two minor children have been orphaned because he has cared for them without a wife for the past five years.
