In the temporarily captured Mariupol, the Russian occupation “authority” admitted that it is currently impossible to restore the water supply in the city due to the damage to the water main as a result of shelling. This was reported by the mayor’s advisor Petro Andryushchenko.
Commentary: Mayor’s adviser Petro Andryushchenko:
“There is no water and there won’t be. The occupying authorities finally admitted that the restoration of water supply to the Left Bank district of Mariupol is impossible due to damage to the water main by Russian bombs.”
The same applies to a large part of the Central and Primorsky districts. The funnel from the Russian FAB-1000 aerial bomb in the city center clearly demonstrates why it is impossible to restore the water supply, Andryushchenko noted.
He adds that most communications in the city cannot be restored, and construction will take years.
Three days ago, on July 5, Andryushchenko reported that the water problem for Mariupol remained the main one. Only 3% of residents had access to it at that time.
Commentary: Mayor’s adviser Petro Andryushchenko:
“The people of Mariupol are forced to cover kilometers in the morning to join the queues at water collection points, if they are lucky.”
