In Mariupol, a young man went to the square near the bombed-out Drama Theater with the flag of Ukraine

In Mariupol, Donetsk region, which was temporarily captured by the Russian occupation forces, a guy with a Ukrainian flag went to the square near the Drama Theater bombed by the Russian troops. The Mariupol City Council announced this by publishing a photo.

Comment: Mariupol City Council:

“Even when occupied, Mariupol does not surrender. The young man went to the square near the Drama Theater bombed by the occupiers with the flag of Ukraine. It is a real courage to do this, when even for the Ukrainian language you can go “to the basement””

They also specified that tens of thousands of people still cannot leave the city, but they are waiting and dreaming that soon Mariupol will be Ukrainian again.

The day before, the mayor’s adviser Petro Andryushchenko reported that every day from 50 to 100 people leave Mariupol – they go to Zaporizhzhia.
